Just steps away, the Boathouse is stocked for a full day on the water: an ice machine, refrigerator, and a fleet of lake toys ready to launch. A full range of life jackets in multiple sizes is always on hand.

The Lucky Star began on the Playa, where this glowing art car carried their family’s spirit of gifting across the desert with lights, music, and rides for all. Since its wild debut in 2019, The Lucky Star has traveled, dazzled, and brought people together, and now it has found a new home at Moonrise Valley.

It continues to shine as a centerpiece of wonder and community, ready to be part of your events and celebrations, bringing connection, joy, and unforgettable memories to everyone who encounters it.

  • On the Hive side of the lake, our T-shaped dock marks a quieter, shallower stretch of shoreline perfect for exploring. From here, you can wander into the creek’s edge, follow “The Shady Loop” walking path along the water, and enjoy a more tucked-away side of the lake.

    This dock is also the gateway to some of our favorite hidden corners — the lakeside fire pit, our intimate lakeside stage, and the winding path that leads past Turtle Cove and back to The Blue Boathouse.

  • Feeds our camp lake with warm water and is a great place to explore the shallows and shade.

  • easily the coziest place on camp.  Great for cozy chats or a pop up bar or anything you can dream up! 

  • Once the camp canteen, this is still the place to wander when you need the essentials; a PB&J, a cold Gatorade, or a little hit of nostalgia.

    It’s kitschy in the best way, thoughtfully stocked with a mix of vintage finds and new favorites that feel like they’ve always belonged here.  A 24 hour vending machine features our favorite eye masks and extra essentials.

  • Located under the Caretakers Cabin, this laundry room offers 3 washing machines and 3 dryers. 

HIKES

  • The pathway from the The Point, over the creek, alongside the shady side of the lake, down to the dam and back to the boathouse and up to the Hive. ~2 miles

  • The perfect 2 mile journey from our camp to the Equinunk General Store if you are looking for a run or a wandering walk with a bacon, egg and cheese at the end. 

  •  A loop up behind Far Ridge which takes you on the former Girl Scout Trails and connects back to the Starry Lights campgrounds.
